William J. Kaszeta, President:
Bill is a mechanical engineer by profession and is primarily responsible for the design and engineering of our integrated PV systems. He has been in the PV industry since 1974 in various design, engineering, marketing and management capacities. From 1974 to 1981, he was involved in the development and marketing of thin-film PV modules and systems by SES, Incorporated, a subsidiary of Shell Oil Company (USA). In 1981 he moved to Arizona as part of Solavolt International, a partnership between subsidiaries of Shell Oil Company and Motorola, Inc. In 1987 Mr. Kaszeta founded PVRI as a PV systems and design software supplier. Bill developed the PVCAD computer program that is very popular in the PV industry.
Mr. Kaszeta has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Masters in Business Administration from Babson College. Bill is a major participant in the development of consensus standards for PV systems and is a technical expert for the U.S. Technical Advisory Group for international standards being adopted by the International Electrotechnical Commission.
